Adiatec® High-Pressure System

The DriSteem Adiatec high-pressure system provides evaporative cooling and humidification in multiple zones and in a wide variety of applications. Humidify to enhance indoor air quality, manufacturing process, material longevity and comfort while taking advantage of the free cooling and energy savings inherent with this technology. The Adiatec high-pressure system handles every aspect of the application from the potable supply water source to the cooled/humidified conditions in the air handler, duct or space.

Energy-efficient

DriSteem’s Adiatec high-pressure system uses heat already present in air to evaporate evenly distributed water droplets dispersed by the system, saving on energy costs.

Reduces cooling load

As atomized water droplets are absorbed, the evaporation causes air temperature to drop, reducing the cooling load. This provides significant energy savings when cooling and humidifying simultaneously.

Adiatec® Ultrasonic Humidifier

The DriSteem Adiatec ultrasonic humidifier provides evaporative cooling and humidification in room or in AHU/duct for application flexibility. Ultrasonic units humidify using high frequency oscillation of piezoelectric transducers, causing mist to develop into very small droplets. The developed mist is carried out of the unit through the air flow generated in an air handler or integrated fans.

Energy-efficient

DriSteem’s ultrasonic humidifier uses 93% less energy than isothermal humidifiers.

Room ultrasonic humidifiers (Model BR Series)

The Model BR series is designed for a magnitude of in-room applications. With the polished/mirrored cover we are able to provide a sleek design with great performance. These units can be mounted on the wall or using a drip tray.

  • Mounts on the wall below the ceiling.
  • Adsorption distance dependent on room conditions.
  • Integral fan(s) carry the mist out of the unit.
  • Drip tray accessory provided as an option for additional piece of mind.

Adiatec® Wetted Media System

DriSteem’s Adiatec wetted media systems provide evaporative cooling and humidification for a wide variety of applications while taking advantage of the free cooling and energy savings inherent with this technology. These systems work by using the heat already in the air to evaporate water as it passes through saturated media, saving on energy costs compared to alternative evaporative cooling equipment or steam humidification.

In addition, the Adiatec wetted media system can effectively manage shoulder season cooling load, as well as assist on peak cooling days to avoid the purchase of additional cooling equipment. In retrofit situations where the cooling load has increased, installation of an Adiatec wetted media system is significantly less costly than adding a chiller.

  • Patented Multi-stage System Controlled by Vapor-logic® Controller: Continuous operation is provided by the multi-stage system, because when one stage is in dry-out mode the other stages remain active.
  • Low Energy Usage: Each stage has its own pump, and each of those pumps run only when that stage requires water (up to three stages per system).
  • Reduces cooling load: Every pound of water evaporated into the air removes about 1000 Btu of heat from the air (every kg evaporated removes approximately 2250 kJ of heat). This evaporative cooling effect reduces the building’s cooling load, resulting in significant energy savings in applications requiring both cooling and humidification.
  • Two Media Sizes: In addition to 12” (305mm) media, DriSteem offers 8” (203mm) media for situations where there is lower demand.
  • Built-in Droplet Separator:Order the system with a built-in droplet separator to remove water droplets that can form when operating at higher face velocities. The ability to operate at higher velocities delivers more conditioned air to a controlled space.
  • User-controlled Version: The user-controlled Adiatec wetted media system does not include the DriSteem Vapor-logic® controller, which saves on cost while maintaining the flexibility to work with an existing Building Automation System.

Fan-assisted Dispersion for Adiatec® High-Pressure System

There are new options for dispersion available with the Adiatec high-pressure system. We now offer high-pressure fan-assisted dispersion units in addition to the current nozzle and manifold systems. These fan-assisted dispersion options are designed to atomize water while increasing air movement for cooling or humidification applications.

There are three new fan-assisted dispersion models for high-pressure: Models FA-2, FA-3, and FA-4.

  • Model FA-2 is designed for low ceiling heights.
  • Models FA-3 and FA-4 are designed to pull air from above the fan (typically the hottest air), which promotes better absorption, and throws moisture horizontally.
